Hugh Metcalf gained a first class degree in Music Technology from University of West London in 2011 and was awarded the “Academia Design Award” for outstanding Music Technology student. He is currently a freelance Sound Engineer, based in London.
Hugh has worked in London studios since 2004. He has carried out location recordings for various bands and community projects, including working with Gerard Johnson (Saint Etienne). He works closely with local band “Not Cool” and in the summer of 2010 was their front of house mixer in a performance for Hew Stevens’ Introducing.
Hugh is also accomplished at Sound Design, having recently worked on advertisements for Global Radio (Heart, Capitial FM, Choice FM, Classic fM, LBC, XFM, Gold). He has worked on various animations which have been showcased at Kinetica Art Fair and BAFTAs over the last year.
